The Stages system is based on the 15' rule. What is "The 15' rule"?
Here's how the 15' rule works. 15 feet of matting is required to remove the majority of dirt and moisture from foot traffic. This allows each foot to make contact with the matting at least 3 times; ensuring that the majority of soil will be stopped at the entrance.
